COVID-19 Testing FAQ

Priority PCR tests are RT-PCR, which is a type of PCR test. It IS NOT an antigen or antibody test.

LAMP Tests are loop-mediated isothermal amplification tests.

We will email you when they are available.

Both tests (Priority and LAMP) get results in about 30 minutes and depending on how many people are being tested, it can take an hour or so to generate the report. We target 2 hours or less from when you get tested.

A sample Priority PCR report can be found here.

The paperwork shows that it is RT-PCR, the date/time of collection, the result, patient name and DOB, our CLIA waiver number, our address, and an optional passport number.

Visit this page, read the instructions then click “buy”. Then fill out the form for that test and pay. Once you purchase we will send you a calendar invite (it may take us a few hours because we do a custom one for each person) for your appointment. This invite includes the day, time and location of the test.

We do collections every weekday at 7:15am and 3:00pm. All Saturdays are at 8am. We can do Sunday collections at special request.

We will email you with how to download your results once they are available.

It will be a link to a HIPAA compliant Google Drive folder.

The state requires the demographic information for each person getting tested, so each person has to fill out the form with that information.

We can reschedule, just contact us. If you need to cancel and would like a refund, we can refund $170 (because it costs us $30 to send out refunds).

Yes it does. Results (generally) are back in 2 hours.

We do! We need a parent/guardian to be present to administer the collection (we have doctors present to observe and instruct). We can do tests for any age.

The receipt we send you when you purchase is the receipt we provide. We can put the receipt number on your test results, thus linking the two, but we will not create a custom invoice with your protected health information and insurance codes.

We do not know and therefore cannot provide: CPT codes, diagnosis codes, provider codes, location codes, result codes, etc. We can, however, send you our Tax ID/EIN upon request.

We also cannot simply email you an invoice because it is a violation of federal law for us to email identifiable, protected health information. This includes: Names, DOBs, Test information, home addresses, etc.

Morning Of Testing

Nope! We use a collection method called a “mid-turbinate” collection. It is one of the four FDA approved collection methods. It only goes about 1″ into your nose, not the 6″ that the typical hospital swab (called nasopharyngeal) goes in. You do the collection yourself (this helps us maintain social distancing). This method is arguably better because you (the patient) doesn’t pull back and you’re able to collect more media from the patient.

Check out our video below for more details.

No. It is the viral test to see if you currently have COVID-19.

The location will be included in your calendar invite when you purchase.

The location is 901 Grove Road, Greenville, SC. Near (not at) Greenville Memorial Hospital. It is an old bank building with a “For Lease” sign in front. We are just borrowing the parking lot.

We will be there with signs and cones. Pull and and we will start the process. Stay in your car the whole time, please.

The collection is called a mid-turbinate collection. We believe it can be more accurate than the nasopharyngeal because the patient doesn’t retract in pain. Mid-turbinate is one of the 4 recommended methods by the CDC.

The test itself is a RT-PCR test, which is a subset of PCR tests.

Yup! We recommend social distancing of course, but if you live with your family and are all getting tested, you can all come in one car!
